Starting Salary: 1250/month – Remote|Contract Work, preference given to New Jersey residents.
Length of Contract: September 2024-May 2025, with consideration to renew

Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will manage general office tasks and administrative duties. Responsibilities will include directing communications between the board of directors and members, organizing and scheduling meetings and events, entering data, record keeping, and all other duties as assigned. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with president, treasurer and sponsorship committees to ensure the NJAND is fiscally sound and monitor organization operations for improved processes.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented with time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Event management experience required
- Basic understanding of non-profit (501c-6) association management
- Knowledgeable in communication platforms – WordPress, Constant Contact, Social Media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn), Canva, Zoom
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
- Experience in Google Workspace
- Experience working with teams
- Overview of Primary Responsibilities:
- The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to support daily operations.
- Manage and attend meetings and activities of the Board of Directors, including virtual meetings with various committees, webinars, and quarterly board meetings.
- Attends committee meetings and completes appropriate tasks and action items as applicable to support committees and volunteers.
- Manage communications between the board of directors, members, Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, and affiliated groups
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, such as venue booking, catering, registration, virtual support, etc.
- Coordinate and attend Annual Meeting with co-chairs and committee, assisting with program materials, marketing, volunteer assignment, committee, sponsors, awards, and evaluations.
- Assist in preparing meeting agendas and documentation.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls.
- Draft and format documents, letters, and the annual report.
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of documents.
- Enter data into spreadsheets, databases, and other systems.
- Maintain organization website, e-blasts, and social media.
- Manage member databases, surveys, and elections.
- Upon request, communicates with the communications committee to report email open rates, responses, and engagement.
- Updates and adheres to the annual calendar and deliverables tracker.
- Support the NJAND towards its strategic direction, monitoring goals set forth from each committee.
