She cemented that decision by earning a Bachelors in Nutritional Sciences from Pennsylvania State University and completed her dietetic internship at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. Now, her focus is to help her patients, and the community, achieve optimal wellness. “I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and I wanted to have a career that emphasized that.” In this quest, Jane takes an integrative and functional medicine approach to her private practice Simple Health and Nutrition in Long Valley, NJ. She is also the director of SNAP-Ed at Zufall Health, covering Morris, Sussex, Warren, Hunterdon, and Somerset Counties.
For Jane, no two days are ever the same. She is not an all work and no play RDN. “My favorite thing to do is to hike with my dog and go to the beach. I also enjoy practicing yoga in my free time.” In her free time Jane also carves out time volunteering as the NJAND’s co-public policy coordinator and is a member of the Academy’s policy advocacy committee for Dietitians in Integrative and Functional Medicine.
She is certified in integrative and functional nutrition, mindful eating, and yin yoga and encourages student dietitians to “take the time to explore all the different paths that RDs can take within the profession and get involved in professional networking groups.”
