Meet Mandy Enright, MS, RDN, RYT

Mandy is a life-long resident of New Jersey. Nutrition was not her first career. She received her undergraduate degree in Advertising/PR from Penn State University and began her professional career as an advertising executive working at some of
NYC’s top agencies. After experiencing burnout from working long hours she decided to pursue a career in nutrition because of the many opportunities it presented. Mandy returned to school to obtain her registered dietitian credential. She earned her M.S. in
Nutrition Education from Montclair State University and completed her Dietetic Internship through Rutgers School of Health Professions.

Mandy currently serves as the Content & Programs Manager for Wellness Concepts, a worksite wellness company where she develops and delivers programs to employees of corporations, municipalities, and more on a range of topics including nutrition, fitness, and stress management. She is also an avid fitness enthusiast who holds certifications in yoga, stand up paddleboard (SUP) yoga, aerial yoga, and
kickboxing. Mandy is known as the FOOD + MOVEMENT® Dietitian for her fun and flexible approach to maximize body and mind performance through lifestyle and mindset changes that integrate rather than deviate into our busy daily lives.

One of the biggest challenges Mandy faced on the road to becoming an RDN was the many opportunities the field of nutrition offered. It took a while to find her niche, which she accomplished by exploring these opportunities, including assisting other dietitians with their branding.  Mandy considers networking critical to her success; in fact, she obtained her current job due to the relationships she developed with other
dietitians, clients, and the NJAND board!

One piece of advice Mandy provides to future RDN’s is to work for someone else before considering being an entrepreneur. While owning a private practice can be incredibly rewarding, working for others first can provide valuable experience. In particular, observing different management styles allows you to develop and refine your
own leadership styles.

In her free time, Mandy can be found exploring the Jersey Shore with her
husband, Joe, and their cavalier Shiva the Diva. A fun fact about Mandy is that she
recently released her first cookbook—30-Minute Weight Loss Cookbook: 100+ Quick
and Easy Recipes for Sustainable Weight Loss.
